The Making of Eddy and Freddy

Eddy and Freddy are the puppet hosts of the political satire show "Lasktuwa." They are made of latex rubber.

Eddy and Freddy began life as clay

sculptures. These are the "first drafts."

There would be several rounds of

sculpting and refining each character.

Once the final sculptures were finished,

plaster molds were created.

Eddy's cast latex head is removed from

the hardened plaster mold.

Eye mechanisms are installed and the

latex heads are painted with an airbrush.
